I wonder about the individuals on the board. How many just rubber stamp things because Elon has helped them make a lot of money b
I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, but I can easily see board members being aware of the mess with Twitter and that would have them worried about doing the same with Tesla.

yea, maybe before they would just rubber stamp it,. but now they may actually consider the options. But they will be put in a prediciment. If they give him more power, he could bring them down like Twitter, but if they refuse, he's crazy enough to sabotage any chance he gets to try to say "you messed with the wrong person"...

He’s asking for more shares - up to $100 billion worth. Perhaps not coincidentally after pissing away $27 billion in Twitter and seeing TSLA devalued.

The board should just say nah. The robotics demonstration he made as a precursor to the demand was laughable.

With all the stories surrounding Elon, I figure he will eventually be relegated to simply being a figurehead. He’ll get bored with that and start something else that will really allow his inner crazy to come to light and will lead to him flaming out. Tesla and SpaceX will suffer at least a little in the fallout.

Interesting article outlining issues in Chicago during this last cold snap, and how Norway handles it better.

EV's aren't for everyone. I think you need to be smarter than the average bear, and pre-plan to get the most out of it in inclement weather.

Picking up this 2024 Kia EV6 Wind tomorrow. First time purchasing a brand new vehicle & first time EV owner.

Congrats!

For me, the EV experience is most about simply driving the car - the driving physics are completely different, and just so cool, they're a blast to drive. Every day.

I know that EV6 gets good reviews, I hope you enjoy it.

I like what Jeep is doing w/ the 4xe, full electric, hybrid, and gas... For a place like South LA, it seems to be a very viable option w/ the threats of tropical weather/flooding... you get 25 miles of total electric range which works for going around town, and you can switch to hybrid or gas with a touch of a button as needed...

I saw BMW released images of the new i5 M60 Touring. That might be my next car when my I trade in my M240ix in 3 years.

I have seen some of the writeups - should be a great car.

I'm now two months in to my M60 and it's just outstanding.

baby musk at it again. And yes, that was not a typo, it was billion with a B

CEO Elon Musk said late on Thursday the company will hold a shareholder vote to transfer its state of incorporation to Texas from Delaware, after a judge invalidated his $56 billion pay package at the electric vehicle (EV) maker.

Delaware judge Kathaleen McCormick had on Tuesday called the 2018 share-based pay package - the largest in corporate America - "an unfathomable sum" that was unfair to shareholders and found it was negotiated by directors who appeared beholden to Musk.

"Never incorporate your company in the state of Delaware," Musk posted on social media X shortly after the ruling.

More evidence that EVs are vastly better at negotiating flooded streets. This guy probably trashed his car/interior in other ways but EVs don’t stall in water.

I cringe watching it tho. It's likely safe in most urban areas like that, but I recall a hole opening up next to Harrah's a few years back. Plow forward into that and that Tesla is suddenly a coffin for you if the doors get jammed. Rural areas are even scarier.

That pay package is just stupid, but I'm not sure I understand how one shareholder can hold it up and have the judge side with the shareholder. I mean I agree that the pay package is irrational - but I'm not sure why a judge has the right to rule that. Is the ruling that the compensation package was negotiated in an unethical or illegal manner?
