• Paulson Adebo continues to trend upward: His 78.7 PFF overall grade in 2023 ranked 15th among cornerbacks, and he orchestrated a three-game stretch between Weeks 8 and 10 as the NFL’s highest-graded cornerback in coverage (94.6).

• Former sixth-rounder Trey Smith is excelling with the Chiefs: He is one of just three players to have played more than 4,000 snaps over the past three seasons, and his 76.5 overall grade over that span ranks 11th among guards.

New Orleans Saints: CB Paulson Adebo

Although Adebo has earned a lot of playing time since the Saints drafted him in the third round in 2021, it was not until 2023 that he put it all together and started playing as one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL. His 78.7 PFF overall grade ranked 15th among cornerbacks in 2023, and he orchestrated a three-game stretch between Weeks 8 and 10 as the NFL’s highest-graded cornerback in coverage (94.6). The New Orleans Saints signed one of the free agent tryouts from their recent rookie minicamp, former Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Kendal Vickers. Backup defensive tackle John Penisini was waived to open a roster spot for him. The Saints announced Vickers’ signing as well as the pickup of offensive lineman Lucas Patrick on Monday.

Vickers, 28, was college teammates with Alvin Kamara at Tennessee and has been in the NFL since 2018, making most of his appearances with the Raiders from 2020 to 2022 (alongside Derek Carr). He’s spent time with a couple of different teams over the years...

METAIRIE, La. — The New Orleans Saints announced their 2024 NFL schedule will be released this week.

The Saints' opponents were set in January.

This season, the team's schedule will feature nine home games and eight road games. Six of those combined games are home-and-away games with NFC South rivals, Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay.

Jamaal Williams scored 17 touchdowns in 2022, and just 1 in 2023 on the New Orleans Saints’ last play of the season. Williams started slow at the beginning of the season as he was limited by a hamstring injury sustained in Week 2 that caused him to miss four games. Hamstring injuries usually limit a player throughout the entire season even if they are able to return to the field. Williams was set to be the bell cow early in the year while Alvin Kamara was out but was only able to play 1.5 games and never managed to get it going last year.
