Coming into this offseason, it was little secret that the New Orleans Saints needed to fix an offensive line that was woeful last season. Over the last two years, the Saints have averaged less than 110 yards rushing per game, ranking in the bottom half of the NFL. Their 3.6 average per run in 2023 ranked an abysmal 31st in the league. Over their last 34 games, New Orleans quarterbacks had been sacked 73 times and often under heavy duress.

Offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael and offensive line coach Doug Marrone were among several offensive assistants let go this offseason. Brought in were new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, respected run game coordinator Rick Dennison, and experienced offensive line coach John Benton among an almost completely revamped staff on that side of the ball.

The staff wasn't the only thing that will change for the Saints offense in 2024. There will also be several new faces on the offensive line. Here's a look at the changes that the team has made up front so far. ...

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour stop won't conflict with Saints' 2024 schedule

You won’t find many acts more anticipated than Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” but the NFL schedule release might come close. And the good news for the New Orleans Saints is that Swift’s three-day stop at the Caesars Superdome in October won’t conflict with the Saints’ gameday operations.

But the Caesars Superdome staff are going to be busy. The Saints will play against Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos on Oct. 17, a Thursday night game, before preparing for their next matchup — a road contest with the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27. So there will be about a week...

Saints to host Broncos on Thursday Night Football

Earlier today, it was reported by Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football that the New Orleans Saints will host the Denver Broncos on October 17th for Thursday Night Football.

Somehow the NFL took one of the best storylines on this year’s schedule and messed it up by putting it on Thursday Night Football.

Sean Payton, the man who came to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and turned the franchise around, ultimately winning its first Super Bowl just four years into his tenure, is making his return to the Superdome, and you put it on TNF... Doesn’t make much sense to me, but I digress...

Saints only receive three prime time games in 2024

Are the New Orleans Saints ready for prime time? The NFL’s broadcasting partners don’t seem to think so. The Saints were given just three prime time night games on their 2024 schedule, per multiple reports.

In addition to a Thursday Night Football matchup with Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos on Oct. 17, the Saints will also get Monday Night Football showcases with the Kansas City Chiefs (Oct. 7) and Green Bay Packers (Dec. 23). Remember, Thursday night games are broadcast on Amazon Prime Video while Monday night games are carried on ESPN.

This is a far cry from the Saints’ heyday; in...

Saints will play the Packers on Monday Night Football in December

The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman reports that the New Orleans Saints will visit the Green Bay Packers for a prime time game on Monday Night Football in Week 16, which should fall on Dec. 23.

So the Saints will get a late-season road trip to Wisconsin in winter. That’s going to be a challenging environment against a team that beat them last year, and that has playoff ambitions after reaching the postseason in 2023.

The Saints have been fortunate to avoid many cold-weather road games over the years, but they did a great job handling the elements in a below-freezing matchup with the Cleveland...

We’ll soon know exactly where the New Orleans Saints will be playing in 2024 with the NFL schedule releasing Wednesday night, but not every schedule is created equal. Some teams will spend more hours traveling cross-country than others, but where do the Saints slot in? Just how often, and how far, will they be asked to fly out from New Orleans? It helps that the Saints will not be playing abroad this season after traveling to London in 2022, but they will still be spending plenty of time in American airspace.

To find out, we ranked all 32 teams by travel distance (according to

The Kansas City Chiefs are still celebrating their victory in Super Bowl LVIII, but all eyes are looking forward to the upcoming Super Bowl LIX — which will be played at the Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints. The 2025 Super Bowl figures to be the championship game’s biggest event yet, and FOX Sports is already building anticipation for their keystone broadcast.

FOX Sports released a teaser trailer for Super Bowl LIX starring their mascot “Cleatus the Robot,” who found himself wandering the desert after Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The hitchhiking robot was picked up by...

Sean Payton's Broncos will visit Saints on Thursday Night Football

Welcome back, Sean Payton. The New Orleans Saints’ former coach will return to the Caesars Superdome for a Thursday Night Football game in Week 7, per NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill, with kickoff against Payton’s Denver Broncos scheduled for Oct. 17.

It’s going to be at least a little awkward to see Payton on the opposing sideline. The winningest coach in Saints history hasn’t found as much success since he joined the Broncos. Payton finished with an 8-9 record in 2023, jettisoned quarterback Russell Wilson, and drafted rookie passer Bo Nix in hopes of living up to the expectations...

Report: Saints to kick off 2024 season at home vs. Panthers

There it is. The New Orleans will kick off their 2024 season at home against the Carolina Panthers, per FOX 8’s Garland Gillen, giving head coach Dennis Allen a great opportunity to start 1-0 for his third consecutive season. Hopefully the pattern stops there, though, with the Saints missing the playoffs in each of his first two years as their head coach.

Carolina fielded the worst team in pro football last offseason, and they’ve worked hard to surround young quarterback Bryce Young with a stronger supporting cast. There’s a new coaching staff, new receivers, new blockers, and plenty of...
