Maybe. He does not appear to be making any intimation as to the method.

I love how civil it all is. Magnus won’t make any specific statements about Niemann without Niemann’s “permission”.

Ok, I might be able to see how you could cheat when playing online but, how do you cheat, at chess, when sitting across the board from someone? Are you reading the opponents mind and know his strategy/next move? I know how to play, I'm not good by any means, but I know the basics and just can't figure out how you cheat in this game. "Hey! look over there! (moves a piece)." Seriously, can someone tell me how you can cheat in a tournament with people and judges watching?

The only ways I could think of to cheat would be to use software with an excellent algorithm or use a whole panel of grand masters. It’s not like there are secret 1Ups behind smashable walls or anything. I have always thought that grand masters beat those algorithms routinely. I guess not?

Right, but it seems that the logistics of transmitting this through beads would be difficult, ambiguous, and probably uncomfortable.

Yes. There are round beads and long beads. The difficult part is, since the player doesn’t have the info, someone else has to tap out the bead code.

so i forgot to cancel my 1 week trial on chess.com, so $150 dollars later, i've been playing the fork out of the puzzles. not even mad. they are more fun than actually playing a full game.
