Key word is “here”. He has never registered an account here.Pretty sure Copernicus did
Not sure if he’ll be much help
Not trying to get really seriously into it. But I do want to get a good look a Saturn and the other planets. Why would you want to? And, what are you trying to achieve/image?
Worked with optics for many years and you cannot just cobble things together and expect them to work well, if at all. Physics tends to get in the way…
I mean ‘here’ is a virtual space- we could all be Copernicus reallyKey word is “here”. He has never registered an account here.
Tape a pair of cheaters from the dollar store to it and you can see the whole galaxy.
Or at least through the blinds of your neighbor's bedroom window.Tape a pair of cheaters from the dollar store to it and you can see the whole galaxy.
Well, this is just not true if you're diligent. I ground my first mirror when I was in high school (after taking classes from Copernicus ) Thousands of folks have built telescopes that work very well. Surely, they didn't "cobble things together" and grinding a mirror is a lot of work. Many achieve results better than low-end Newtonians. Outside of the mirrors, you will want to purchase eyepieces because even lower-priced models are better than you could produce. Why would you want to? And, what are you trying to achieve/image?
