Hollis Thomas on the bubble? [Merged]

Adam Shefter on NFL network just showed a list of veterans that are on the bubble and Hollis was on the list.

I bet he was just on the list cause of his weight issues that have been public since everyone reported to camp.

Hollis Thomas is in Payton's doghouse because of his weight....he's been demoted to second team but that's as far as it goes.....He's still an extremely valuable member of the DL rotation. The question to ask is - if were to be cut who replaces him? Boykin. Leisle, Villarreal? All of them are a huge and I mean hhuuuugggeeeee step down from Hollis Thomas......

Hollis is a player that got his money and then shut it down. I think I remember him being very vocal about not getting his money at contract time. Well,,,, he got his money and went to Pizza Hut for the buffet!

He deserved his contract after last year. Also, we were very thin at DT and there were not a whole lot of options. Letting him go would have created another hole before the draft. What would you have done?

I think he will be in shape for the seasons start.

Unfortunately, this is true.

He was making a lot of noise. The Saints ponied up and Hollis went to the buffet...

He needs to shed that fat.

Hopefully Payton slipped Adam some green to put Thomas on that list...a little motivation.

Sure it wasn't Fred?

Didn't we just resign him to a decent contract? Wouldn't it kill our cap?

Schefter says Hollis Thomas is on the bubble...

...it was a segment on Total Access, and they were discussing players "on the bubble" around the league... and there was Hollis' name. This can't be true right? We're already thin at DT with Brian Young being hurt, and Hollis is our best DT.

So, is this a false report... Were they just throwing names out there?

No way he get's cut. This guy is a monster for the Saints...it's amazing how this report is allready making the rounds. I've read a couple articles on how other teams are waiting for this to happen so they can pick him up. I like Schefter, but I wonder who told him this one.....
