Nuts? No, I just look at Lee's ppg avg and JJ's ppg average. With almost a year of solid experience, and that much more knowledge in the system, he could be something special. But since you don't like having a solid backup we should revoke his scholorship and just let him go on his way...

No, I don't get any pleasure. I'm going to root for him. But from an objective perspective, I'd rather start Shepard. I wish him well, but some things are a given-- the sun will rise tomorrow, dogs will pee tomorrow, flowers will grow tomorrow, and Jarrett Lee is going to suck.

What have you seen that could possibly even remotely give you the inkling that Jarrett Lee will be any good? Is it his ability to throw to a spot on the field without even checking to see if there's a player, either offensive or defensive, there. Is it his uncanny ability to have no idea what's going on in a secondary? Is it his freakish ability to outrun a poodle?
He's just not good. His brain shrinks during a game. His best throws have been off his back foot while getting hit. I'm rooting for him and would love to see him turn into Matt Flynn, but they are far different people.

My question is, what has happened to Keilend Williams? Did he even touch the ball yesterday? I don't think he did. What is the problem?
He is one of our best playmakers and he hasn't even been getting on the field. What did he do? I thought once Scott went down they would go to him, instead they went to ridley who looked good but why not go with your senior? And also why did they go away from Sheppard in the second half? He was running good in the first half and then i think he got the ball once in the second half.
I have really liked Crowton since he got here, but it seems like he doesn't know what to do this year and it might be time for a change. Just IMO.

1. Miles has done a heck of a job in bowl games while playing top level competition. Shoot look at last year, which was his worst team under his tenure. We played like crap the entire year, but then played gangbusters during the bowl game. There could be several explanations for this, such as a month long practice time for the players and more time to prepare a strong game plan (suggesting he can't do the same each week) or maybe he is more relaxed during bowl games since it is the last game of the year? Or any number of explanations. Fact is, he always does a better job in bowl games.
I'm not sure exactly what you are implying, so why don't you elaborate instead of speaking in riddles that could mean anything or nothing at all.

Not sure what happened to Williams, I guess Miles decided to go with Ridley cause of his TD run. Probably should have gotten Williams involved more. Do we know if KW is in the doghouse for some reason or minor injuries? He was a hot item at the beginning of the year, but seems to have disappeared a bit.
I think shep put himself in the doghouse a bit by looking so lost and confused a couple of times forcing a timeout, but he did see the field a couple of times. Shep's a great athlete, but he's too raw. You don't want to rely on him too much his true freshman year against the biggest game of the year in enemy territory. Bring him along slowly. I agree with that plan for Shep (seeing as he refused to be redshirted this year and that was a dealbreaker in terms of signing him.) Man, this year was a huge waste of eligibility, but oh well. His choice.
Yes, I agree. Crowten needs to get his crap together or get replaced. However I don't want to change OC's headed into next year, cause then we will be putting in a new system during our best chance to win it all. The next two years are crucial. And if he can't win at the very least an SEC championship, then he has got to go.

I agree, winning the west is the name of the game. Anything short than that in any season is unacceptable and sets us up to loose ground in recruiting epically if it goes three in a row to bama next year... Miles has to win this game next season.

No, I said try his hardest. At LSU, if his hardest doesn't cut it, you replace him. Which is what we did, except JJ went down with injury so Lee is all we have left. Screaming at the kid and ripping him apart isn't going to change that. All Lee can do is try his hardest, what do you want him to do, grow an extra 50 feet and plow through the line like Godzilla?

I just want him to complete passes to LSU receivers. Is that too much to ask for?

Nope and he has completed passes to LSU receivers, so I guess you should be happy then.

Lee was put into a tough situation. Facing the best college defense with them knowing your throwing the ball.
All you can say is kudo's to Bama, they did what they had to do. Sure the calls were 1 sided, that happens. The "non" Int, what can you say. Everyone in America saw that. I was at a party with mainly Bama fans. Everyone in the room knew it was an Int and LSU's ball. They even shook their head when it wasn't overturned. Whoever was the replay official should be fired..... But, the officials didn't lose the game. They didn't help though.
If they had reversed the call, although we don't know, does anyone think we drive 70 yards to take the lead? I don't. But, it would have been nice to have that chance.
I was proud of the Tigers though. They went in there and fought Bama, the officials, the fans, and numerous injuries to key players. And they were in it until the end. Just didn't happen.

Lee looks like a deer in headlights on every single play. I don't wish any ill will on the kid, but he just doesn't have what it takes to play at this level. Maybe it was because he got thrown out there too early, but whatever it is, you can see he's scared to death.

I'm not sure if it was that particular play but Bama got called on a block in the back on one punt return.

I'm sure they did, it happens on nearly every punt return, but I don't recall LSU returning that punt for a TD.
I really am for "letting them play", but when the one player that has a shot at making a TD saving tackle is held, clipped, blocked in the back, etc you HAVE to make that call.

You won't get any argument from me on that. I'm not gonna lie that was a horribly officiated game. I really wish LSU would have got that INT because I really don't think they would have scored but they should have got the chance at least.
I would much rather have seen Bama stop them on the field of play than for a ref to decide the outcome. I don't think I'm too far off the mark in saying that most LSU fans would want the same if the shoe was on the other foot.

That was my complaint. I'm 100% sure we wouldn't have won with Lee at QB, but what angered me was the refs stealing our opportunity, especially with Bama already being in FG range.

Unfortunately, the refs stole Bama's thunder from a great victory. I can't take anything from Bama, they made the plays to win the game.
Steve I feel the same way. I drove to Gulf Shores to watch the game with some bama buddies. I told them at the time that the call didn't cost us the game, only a chance. Still, whoever made that call needs to be bagging groceries.
As for Lee. Let's blame him for #78 jumping on a 4th down pass that would have not only gotten us a 1st down, but would have gotten 15 yds tacked on to it. That false start might have been even more crucial than the ref's clustered review.
It was a great hard-hitting football game that I enjoyed watching.

Agreed bro. You gotta let the kids battle it out. It was such a hard fought game, it sad that it ended like this. Honestly I doubt Lee drives us down for a TD but all it takes is a broken tackle... who knows. Let the kids play.
