New Nicholls State mascot (Merged)
It looks like a Nazi policeman. Anyway what do yall think? They changed the old Colonel Tillou because NAACP thought it was racist. They stripped every reminder of the Civil War and came up with this. Thoughts?

Wasn't Francis T Nicholls a colonel in the confederate army...
He also looks like and angry band director....
I think it sucks....

I agree. The old mascot was an authentic soldier from the Civil War and historically reflected the culture of the area. This new mascot symbolizes nothing about south Louisiana and more about Germany/Russia. Nicholls is stupid for hiring a yankee to do something as important as this.

I see that mascot pic and can only think of KMFDM's album covers. Not the best higher education link, seeing as no one listens to KMFDM anymore. 15 years ago this mascot would have been great. Now it looks pretty dated.
