I'm originally from Shreveport. While it used to be Cowboys country, especially in the early 90s, since Katrina they have been heavily favored toward the Saints. It would be almost unheardof today to have the Cowboys shown over the Saints. Additionally, given the two schedules of the two teams, since both are now frequently featured nationally, the two games rarely conflict. In the past 3 years when they have conflicted, they have shown the Saints.

I just looked, the only time that the two teams' schedules actually have them playing on the same channel at the same time are:

Week 1: DET at NO, TB at DAL
Week 7: NO at MIA, ATL at DAL
Week 11: NO at TB, WAS at DAL
Week 17: NO at CAR, PHI at DAL

Additionally, Dallas has two late season NBC games that could be flexed away from the Cowboys.

You'll be guaranteed of getting 12 Saints games in Shreveport, at the very worst, and I would expect that at least two of the 4 conflicting games will be the Saints. Shreveport has really turned the corner in recent years.

Last year, according to the distribution maps, only one Saints game was unavailable in Shreveport because of a direct conflict with the Cowboys - when the Saints played at Carolina, which was a bad game anyway.

I'm not sure I would pay the extra money for Sunday Ticket over one or two games. Especially, if I can assume, that the Saints will be better than the Cowboys next year. Cowboys games are often moved from 12 to 3 anyway.

You pretty much know the answer by now, but when the Cowboys are on at the same time, they almost always show the them.

This year, we have 5 games that conflict with each other. So, the others should be okay. But, on those 5 days, find a sports bar or a friend with the ticket.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in Shreveport or Bossier that's good for watching a Saints game.. where one could get a beer, that also allows minors in as well ?

I'd want to take my son who is a big Saints fan, but has a few years to go before he could get into a 'sports bar' etc..

Buffalo Wild Wings is your best bet. It is a restaurant that just happens to have a sports bar inside. Just get there early to secure a table and enjoy the game. There is one at the Boardwalk in Bossier and one on South Youree in Shreveport.

Really? Are you in Ruston? They didn't choose to air a Cowboy game over a Saints game because they didn't have the option. Believe me, if it comes down to a conflict, it's gonna be Cowboys. The only time I recently remember KMSS choosing Saints over Cowboys to air was back in 2006 around week 4 or 5. Dallas was playing Tennessee and Saints were at Panthers....I have suddenlink cable as well, which really doesn't matter b/c its the Fox affiliate not the cable provider that chooses which game to air.

Any update on this place? Saints watching-wise.

Looks like I will be stuck in Shreveport on opening day.

Don't really like BWW. N Cahoots sounds good, but I know I would grow a not-so-nice attitude at a rude Cowgirl lovin'/Saints hatin' bartender real quick once the beer starts soaking in.

Any other good options?

I'd probably stay away from N'Cahoots myself. I've been there and met that bartender. Other than BWW.....maybe Hooter's or O'Brien's. Fast Eddie's might not be bad if they have DTV there. I know Horseshoe Casino shows all the games....Maybe What's on Tap or What's on Tap too....if they have DTV.
